Joe’s Take: Elevate Your Fade Game with the Aureus Clippers and Trimmers

My firtst impression of the Aureus clippers and trimmers are probably the same as most…they are pretty. They draw their name from the ancient Roman term “aureus,” which means gilded or golden and was often associated with valuable items like the esteemed Aureus coin. This historical richness perfectly captures the essence of the Aureus clippers and trimmers but how well do they cut?

As a lifelong fan of the Oster Classic 76 (or Titan), I approached the Aureus clippers with a fair share of skepticism. Transitioning to a new style of clipper was not a decision I took lightly. However, the Aureus clippers and trimmers have proven to be a game-changer. They feature a Brushless DC (BLDC) motor that is not only lightweight but also operates at high RPMs, resulting in a smooth and quiet cutting experience.

What truly sets these tools apart is the incorporation of unique carbon ceramic cutting blades. These blades are ultra-sharp, incredibly durable, and remain cool even through extended use. This is a significant improvement over traditional metal alloy blades, which tend to dull quickly and heat up with prolonged use. While metal blades are more cost-effective and can be replaced if you’re comfortable disassembling your clippers, this is often a cumbersome process that many hairdressers, myself included, would prefer to avoid.

The Aureus clippers and trimmers are not just about cutting performance; they also pay homage to luxurious design. The upgraded clipper guards are a testament to this, featuring a beautiful golden finish that adds a touch of bling to your toolkit. These metal-backed premium guards are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, ensuring precision and control in every cut.

In a Nutshell…

The Aureus clippers and trimmers are a fusion of beauty and performance, offering a cutting experience that is both smooth and efficient. With their lightweight BLDC motor, durable carbon ceramic blades, and stylish golden guards, these tools are designed not only to elevate your craft but they look damn good sitting on your station.

Change your tools, change the game.
